11-5-06 Six of our middle school youth group members and three of their guests from other parishes attended the youth rally Nov. 4, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carmel. There were over three hundred youths in attendance. Guest speaker was Chris Padgett, who spoke about living a holy life as a teen in today's world. The kids attended a youth mass, played games, sang, prayed and some of them even danced! The general opinion was that Chris Padgett was successful in capturing attention and in delivering his message. The kids also especially liked the youth mass and the music. We hope that this is the first of many opportunities to worship with other youth at similiar events. Several of the kids earned the fees for the rally by selling cold drinks and glow necklaces on the fourth of July.
We are meeting on the 11th of Nov. for a "rake and feed" at the church. Everyone in the parish is invited! Bring a rake and come help clean up the church yard. Food will be provided and a good time will be had by all. The more people we have, the quicker we will finish the work and be ready for the fun.
The middle school youth group are invited to help with the church "Giving Tree" this year. What a great Christmas event! We need to meet and plan how to display the gift tags. Bring your ideas on the 11th. We will take a few minutes while roasting marshmallows to discuss this project.
We mentioned having a "Mom's Day Out" before Christmas. We would need everyone's help to be able to do this. We have the opportunity to give parents a day for themselves while we watch and entertain the little ones. Who is interesting in doing this fund raiser? Suggest a date and let me know who wants to participate. We have many ideas about what fun activities the profits from this day could fund.
Any middle school age teen or tween is invited to join us and share in the fun and fellowship. The more the merrier! Ask Mike, Nicole, Danika, Christian, Austin, Andrew and Anna about the fun that they have had!

Event will be at Elizabeth Ann Seton in Carmel on Saturday, November 4th from 5pm to 10:pm. Please print, sign and return registration form to Dixie Ihnat by Oct 20th.
10-1-06 The Jr. High Youth group met this evening for our first game night. We had fun getting to know each other better through the game Apples to Apples. We plan to meet again in 2 weeks for another round of Apples to Apples or maybe another game. Bring a game and a friend and join us on Oct 15 6:30-9:00 in the L shaped room.
8-06 The canoe trip and cookout on Aug 13 was a great success. We all had a wonderful time. Thank you to Mark and Laura Reuter for hosting the event!!! And a huge thank you to the Men's group for sponsoring the event!!!!
7-06 We are in the middle of forming High School and Jr. High youth groups. A core planing group for each level met early this summer to get the ball rolling. Check back often or look for more information on our next meeting.
